Librarian's Report:

Kris renewed her public librarian certification.  She is now certified until January, 2019

Kris took over a responsibility from the former Gowrie librarian for the book club that meets in            Gowrie.  She is now ordering the interlibrary loan books that the book club needs each                      month.  That means our library gets the credit for ordering books and the money the book club          participants pay to be part of the club.  This money will go toward the postage of sending the            books back each month.  Four patrons of our library are part of this book club.  (See new                  business)

The Christmas coffee was held December 19, from 11 - 2.

Kris weeded 17 adult books in December.

  • We received a donation of $100 from Linda Case, relative of Jennie Ness.  Kris sent a thank-you note telling her we would discuss how to use the money at our next board meeting.  We could use the money along with a grant to buy a dehumidifier or earmark it for the summer library program.
  • A winter program for families scheduled for January 25th was postponed because of weather.
  • Kris weeded 25 adult books.
  • Kris completed the tier status report to maintain our Tier 1 status for a library this month.

Old Business:

Discussed the Christmas Coffee we had in December.  Many people came in after 1:00 and              stayed until they went to the Fire Station.  We gave away red and green pens this year.

New Business:

Book Club:  Trustees want Kris to set up a separate checking  account for the book club.  The          auditor comes in and will be checking theses accounts, so Kris will need to keep a separate              ledger account for the Book Club monies.  We would like her to keep the account to less than           $20 over payment fees for our library.  The receipts will need to be kept for the treasurer for                budget purposes.

        Review of Gifts policy

Review of Meeting Room policy - both had no revisions

Kris will be gone in February to Hawaii.

Kris' evaluation will have to be done in February - No evaluation form here.

Next Meeting:  February 3, 2016  at 6:00 P.M.
