Librarian’s Report:

·       38 Adult books were weeded during the month of September.

·       The patron computer is having problems with what is called “rogue programs” that are attaching to other programs that have been downloaded to the computer.  It is causing great difficulty in being able to access the internet with reliability.  Kris called Little Joe and it will cost between $80 and $125 for him to clean the computer.  He says this is 90% of what he does for libraries and companies.  He also says I won’t be able to delete all the programs myself.  I mentioned that we might not allow patrons in the future to download programs, but he says that will make the computer virtually unusable.  Therefore, with greater use of the computer by patrons, we can assume this will be a reoccurring cost.

·       Flu shots are scheduled for October 8th and 29th  from 1:00-2:30.

·        Kris will go to the elementary school soon to talk to PreK-4th graders about the activities she is preparing for October.  The library will have a Hello Kitty party and a Halloween party this month.
